The dentists at North Ave Dental Associates love to see children in their dental office. Our doctors agree with the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. You should bring your child to the dentist for their first visit before the age of 1 or shortly after their baby teeth (primary dentition) have erupted into the mouth. The dentist will examine your child's mouth and provide you with some hints on caring for your child's teeth and gums. Please call us at (630) 231 - 4500 to make your child's first dental appointment at North Ave Dental Associates.
Yes. We recommend that you fill your child's baby teeth whenever they have a cavity. If your child complains to you that their teeth are sensitive or give them pain when they eat or drink anything hot or cold, they should be seen by a dentist. Cavities and toothaches are among the leading causes of school absenteeism and emergency room visits for children. Cavities cause pain and infections if left untreated. Healthy baby teeth help children speak clearly and eat comfortably. Baby teeth also help hold space in the child's mouth allowing permanent teeth to erupt properly. If you have any questions about your child's teeth, please do not hesitate to call North Ave Dental Associates. We would be happy to make an appointment for you and your child. Please call (630) 231 - 4500. We have appointments in the evening and on Saturdays to fit your busy schedule.
